On a government scheme designed to kill your dream/ Oh mum, Oh Dad.

So the first couple of days of Aveda training were superb! I had so much fun meeting everyone and I learned several skin hair and makeup tricks already. Meeting everyone in my class and working with them has been so different for me, since our group is so diverse. We created our mascot and team name, and I was even chosen to draw it all out. Everyone giggled when we told them our name was the Troll Patrol, one of the girls in our group even made everyone sparkly badges with our team name on them .

This has all been a great experience so far and I hope it continues to be, even as our group of 18 (the largest size Aveda allows in special circumstances) is packed together in a classroom for eight hours a day for four months.....it shall be interesting indeed.

You dissapeared with the same speed The idealistic things I believed

My dog Missy died today :[ So Fugazi's waiting room video is dedicated to her. she was 140 years old in dog years, I didn't really like her that much, she puked everywhere and woke my up with incessant barking, but I kinda miss her.

This machine will will not communicate These thoughts and the strain I am under

I think my parents are going to put our little white dog to sleep :( She is about 140 years old in dog years and she has been shaking for about a week now and it's getting pretty bad.

In other news, I had to order YET ANOTHER birth certificate because we have lost the past two we have ordered. :X

The gorgeous watercolor above is one of my favorites, it's from a Japanese artist named Toko Ohmori
I just love her fashion illustrations!

The kids were soooo cute tonight! David just couldn't fall asleep and I ended up cuddling him and he feel asleep right away! Lately Rachel and Elizabeth and Karen have all been wearing the dance costumes I gave them everyday and have been learning new dances from their favorite Barbie videos. :) it's rather cute actually.

late to bed....early to rise

So yesterday my boss switched my schedule since he said it was unfair that he scheduled another girl to come in before me (one hour) and leave after me (30 minutes) but it didn't really faze me THAT much when he switched it so that I had to come in early instead.

On another note babysitting was a good view of motherhood today when I instantly became a short order cook to the tune of 'this tastes funny'.
I have also started watching an online show called "the Burg" which is absolutely hilarious and I adore it! Link here

It's also weird to not be in Gileskirk anymore, since it has been such a constant for the past four years...not seeing everyone twice a week is strange though in someways it's nice to not have to do so much math homework anymore! (I do miss Mrs. emery desperately) :[
It's time's like these that make me thank my lucky stars for the internet, since Facebook will undoubtedly become my main option for communication and updates to friends.

If in five years I have a home that looks anything like the picture above I will consider myself a success. :)

dreams of mermaids

I found several of these underwater pictures and I just love them, but I am one of those people that adore those Clorox 'bathtub' commercials with the flying ships and the mermaids. I believe that they were taken by a Finnish photographer.
The commercial I think is so cute!

Before I enter school

I decided to create this blog so that I might update you all (Those of you who might actually read this) on the different circumstances that I might find myself in while in school or work. I might be brave one day and post some pictures even (!) of some of the people in my class.
